Geography & Climate: Midchantry is a lush green wilderness, with rolling hills, rushing rivers and streams and deep, thick forests. Teaming with wildlife, no where else is it more evident that the druids rule this land.
2 Copper History Lesson
Settlements within Midchantry are mainly rural or intertwined within the forests. The cities which now lay in ruin are far more overgrown and retaken by nature than in the other realms of Edrilyn. Midchantry is not officially ruled by The Druidic Council. At the heart of the realm lies the magnificent city of Uli’Lei. The “city” was created by The Druidic Council and is actually formed by the roots of a monstrous tree which once stood there and was said to have been there when the world was born. The Great Mother is said by the druids to have sprouted there and grew to reach the heavens. Once it reached the clouds, it sprouted it’s seeds to create the great forests of the world and then collapsed forming the basin of the great river valley. Taking the remnants of this tree, the druids shaped it to create homes for the humans who followed them after the plague. The city is “ruled” by the Human King, Jeq’uilo.
Midchantry is a Fey Paradise and the largest of the countries of Edrilyn. But not all is as it seems. While appearing to be happy, many of the people who dwell in Midchantry are fearful to cross the Druids who live within its woods. They are also wary of the barbarians in Brynfarthing and the raw elemental upheaval that took place in Fellpike. The reclusive elves in Lotheiden, who refuse to officially “join” Midchantry, are also a cause for concern. For these reasons, the people of Midchantry tend to stay within their seemingly well-protected borders.
Midchantry was once a thriving and chivalrous kingdom filled with Knights and Lords who ruled over its many cities. The forests were lush then too, but in no way compared to its current state. There is still rumored to be a sect of The Justicars of The Mark which lie within the borders of the Druidic Kingdom.
