Hawkingdayl

Geography & Climate: Hawkingdayl was once a loose confederation of city states and a lush paradise with sandy beaches and tropical lagoons along its southern coast. Today, it has retained much of its “paradise” tag, but the land is difficult to navigate. As the gods fell, Hawkingdayl suffered a massive chain of earthquakes which lasted for almost a year. Because of this, the once flat grasslands and forests were tossed in all directions. The broken land is treacherous and the new creatures who roam the surface are not friendly.

2 Copper History Lesson

After the earthquakes destroyed all the cities of Hawkingdayl, including the gnome’s fabled Clockwork City, the people had no choice but to turn to the druids of Midchantry for assistance. And the druids answered the call. The people of Hawkingdayl are organized and somewhat ruled by their local governors, but everyone knows where the real power lies: with The Druidic Council. Hawkingdayl isn’t strong enough to stand on their own, so they accept the foreign rule of the Druids.

Today, the settlements of Hawkingdayl are scattered amongst the torn landscape and they struggle to reclaim their lands against the underworld creatures who roam the surface along the many faults and new caves.

Free-speaking and liberty-minded, the rest of the mainland wonders when the people of Hawkingdayl will openly declare their independence like they once did from the former kingdom of Midchantry, hundreds of years ago. Perhaps when they have tamed their land once more.
